Chatuchak Weekend Market is one of the most popular tourist spots in Bangkok. With over 15,000 stalls and 200,000 visitors every weekend, Chatuchak is one of the largest weekend markets in the world.
You can just run through Chatuchak Market in half an hour and only fleetingly soak up the vibrant shopping atmosphere, but you could easily spend all day here.
What to buy at Chatuchak Market?
The market is divided into 26 different sections. A large map in English at the main entrance to the market will help you find your way around.
You can buy absolutely everything imaginable at Chatuchak. The largest percentage of stalls offer clothes and shoes, spices and flowers, but you can also buy souvenirs, postcards, traditional handicrafts, furniture, antiques, paintings and art... and we could go on forever.
You can get lost in the narrow streets of the market for hours.
In addition to the shops and stalls, you can also visit several massage parlours and of course the large open dining room at the main entrance with about 40 different stalls and classic restaurants.
